The Postgraduate Representative award is presented to elected postgraduate leaders at the University of St Andrews, both at the taught and research levels. The Postgraduate Rep Award indicates that a student has earned the trust of their peers and has been given the responsibility to advocate on their behalf. Postgraduate Representatives must complete all parts of the required training, attend SSCC meetings, and submit a formal handover to be eligible for the award. The skills developed through service as a Postgraduate Representative include: Leadership, Teamwork, Communication, Problem Solving, Meeting, Organisation, Conflict Resolution, Time Management, Negotiation, Public Speaking, Professionalism, Confidence, and Advocacy
