This module will introduce students to US foreign policy through a combination of theory and history. Students are expected to be conversant with some of the basic theories of foreign policy analysis which will be drawn upon to explain various policies and decisions in US diplomatic history. Institutions and political dynamics within the US will be explored as explanatory factors.
