A new system, Advocate by Symplicity (Supplier), has recently been implemented within the University of St Andrews. This provides a new method by which a referral or sharing of concern about a student's wellbeing can be made. This method can also be used to support the asking of questions about student's wellbeing or disability.
The Moodle course will provide training in how to use this new method, a referral web-form, to raise or ask such information and requests. The information input will then be passed to Student Services to action. It is the intention that the new web-form will supersede much of the correspondence that exists presently between Schools and Student Services via the previously established mailboxes: asc@st-andrews.ac.uk and disability@st-andrews.ac.uk.
It is the expectation that all Schools staff have access to the web-form, and utilise it as and when is needed.
