During the first semester of this project student will learn software development best practices (version control systems, continuous integration, and so on) through Software Carpentry Workshops (https://software-carpentry.org/lessons/index.html) and interactions with other participants. These best practices will then be applied to the development of high-level features of one of the systems under development by the group (such as the Semigroups and Digraphs packages for GAP).
